How Ya Like Me Now!?

Not a big fan at all in regards to this Miami Heat movement but unlike a lot of peeps I have always liked the villan,  point in case my obsession with The Rock when he was a bad Guy in the WWE.  This Miami Trio reminds me a lot of that WWE obsession years ago.  I mean you loved to hate him and that's the same case with these guys.  Nobody likes what they did and everyone has been against them since day one, but look at them now, in the finals and the consensus favorite to win it all according to Vegas.

I'm not for them but wouldn't mind seeing them take it all and pumping Kool Moe Dee, during the victory parade in the all white jump suits, that would be kind of dope and a nice slap in the face to all the haters including myself. Dont you think that would be a fitting way for these three jokers to end their run this year!?!

Road Teams Getting it Done

Round 1 has just started and there have been a few pretty noticeable upsets, Memphis over the San Antonio Spurs being the main one.  Earlier this afternoon another road team took it to the Lakers convincingly, the Hornets really played well today, despite injuries to David West and Aaron Gray.

Right now the Knicks are kicking some serious ass in Boston and are up by 10 in the second 1/2.  I am really enjoying this, the predictability and notion of you know who is gonna take it before a game has been played, so far is non existent.  I know its all too early to start shooting my mouth off but I needed to let this out quick before others start stating the obvious if this trend continues.  I am really looking forward to the Denver  and OKC series that's coming.on later tonight, I'm thinking OKC in this series, but again with the trends being as they are, you never know. So far the best bet is to get that road team to cover, I'm heading to Vegas this week and will keep that in mind when placing my bets and the various sports books on the strip.

So the Lakes begin their journey to go for 3, once again.  Its going to be interesting to see how things shape up this season out west, cause I am pretty sure the east is a lot more dominant. 

The resurgence of Chicago has been great for me and all those 80s babies, to see the team we alkaline grew up cheering for dominant.  I just wanted to drop a quick line on this, reach out to our twitter and share your playoff thoughts @brokeanklesblog

I AM BACK

Ok, brokeankles community, sorry for the disconnect over the past few months. My schedule in terms of work has been crazy. I do this has a hobby and, do my best to keep on top of the NBA and post my thoughts as frequent and as quick as I can. However, doing the Bay Street thing, and being having other obligations on top of my intense job, is tough. Anyhow, I will be posting some new thoughts, funny ish and all over the next few days and will be touching base with you all!

what a disappointment....

When Mr Noah went on his tyrant about how Cleveland sucks a season back, he was spot on. I remember seeing the images of jersey's burning, Gilbert's letter to the public, all the media coverage on how much the city hates Lebron and just all the general negativity in regards to this situation, I seriously thought a riot/fight a la pacers/pistons would happen tonight.

Instead, what did we get.....a whole bunch of bullshit. The fans had there moments very early on and just like that they were completely silent. Like I said this in the post before, when Carter came back to Toronto it was a total shit show. The boos came raining down and the hatred was evident from the beginning to end. Like Torontonians, we are really passionate about our sports, and games like this really prove my opinion.

Lebron finished with 38pts I believe, didn't play the entire 4th, joked around with his old team, and buried these guys earlier. So much hype around this return and it turned ugly so, so fast....

I'm still watching the game and this isn't the last you'll hear about this topic.....but just had to get this out now!

Key points:

-bosh is horrible
-does anyone know who's #7 on the heat

-"im improving my greatness day to day" - that was the line of the night, not the 38

Oh yah and Reggie (as in Miller)....this is Lebron's team.

guess who's comin home....

Oh hell yaaaahhhhhh.....
Lebron James makes his return to Cleveland tonight in probably the most anticipated return to the latter team's home stand in sporting history!!! Whewwww that was a big ass sentence.

Security is ramped up hard, and I mean its going to be a zoo in Cleveland tonight. Like I am not anticipating chaos, but this guy is gonna get ripped all night by the fans. I remember when Vince Carter made his return to Toronto for the first time since joining the Nets a few years back, and I remember I couldn't even hear myself think when he stepped onto the court. It became worst when he got announced as a starter and then when he touched the ball for the first time....oye vay!

Lebron in the words of the great Eddie Murphy "you brought this shit on yo-self..." Every boo, jeer, scream, insult, etc is all well deserved. You are a phenom of an athlete but could quite possibly be the biggest douche bag in all of professional sports world wide.
