Remember *insert player name here....
For the first installment, let's all remember one of the greatest shoot first, score second pg's in the history of the NBA, the Amityville Horror himself, Mike James. Who? Mikkkke Jammmmesssss (hahahah, shoot first, score second, sometimes I crack myself up hahaha).
James was bought out today by the Wiz and honestly since his time with the Raptors he's been a total wash. Now does anyone remember his time with the Raps as vivid as I do? He played on our hometown squad during probably the worst period in Raptor history. The guy had one solid season, jacked up over 15-20 shots per game, had an above 20ppg average, yah that's foreal, James averaged 20ppg in his season with the Raptors, proving yet again this era to be the worst. After us he signed one of the worst contracts in NBA history and did nothing ever since. Mike James led the Raptors in scoring, probably the worst sentence ever.
Side thought....but I remember watching him play and I use to get soooooo pissed, there was no such thing as a bad shot, he was constantly shooting, and the funny thing was teams would let him. Sure he could put up numbers, but putting up numbers and winning are two separate things.
Anyways....
He pimped it. At the end of the day, he was a wash when he got here, a wash when he left but left a rich wash. He Played the NBA and its oh so smart owners like a fiddle. He'll never be remembered, probably one of the worst players we've ever had on our hometown squad, but he played the system got paid, and will most likely sign with a contender and win a chip to end his career.
Karl Malone never won one, but Mike James might, wow. It really just goes to show you that if you play the system in the NBA you can have financial stability, have the limelight and poise yourself to win a chip when your career comes to a dwindling end.
Next up, another guy who got punked today. Michael Finley.
