Playoff Matchup to Watch #1 - LAL vs THUNDER

The post season has begun, and its probably the best Basketball to watch bar none. In the West the matchup that can either be a total wash or one of the best battles to get into the 2nd round would have to be between Kobe & co vs the Thunder. Season series, LAL owns it winning 3-1, but the one loss that came was in March and it was a total trouncing at home. Since the all star break the Lakers have gone a little wacky. They havent been winning games they should be, the team seems to (as usual) have some internal beef and Kobe is hurting. There is no doubt that talent wise its not even close as to who's the best, but the man is hurting. All his nagging injuries are finally catching up to him and he did not play in the last four games of the season.

Durant/Westbrook/Green are going to be a handful for an older Lakers squad, their inexperience however and the fact that the oldest guy on the squad is like 26 is going to be their issue. Durant has proven that he is an elite player and superstar this season, carrying this squad to the playoffs for the first time (counting seattle era) after a real long ass time. These guys can all ball, and have a great system that works for everyone. Westbrook will expose Derek Fisher from game 1, onwards, and Durant will pick Artest apart, proving that he is the real deal.

Bottom line, if the Lakers get their shit together, and put the issues of the past month and a half behind them, then this wont be much of a series. But, if the Lakers put in the efforts they have been for the past month and a half, then your in for a Kobe vs Durant shoot out and if that happens, the younger squad may just have a leg up.

Players to watch this series : Westbrook/Kobe
Matchup to watch this series: Artest vs Durant
X FACTOR - Jeff Green for the Thunder / P. Gasol for LAL

My prediction.....honestly, i love the under dog, but ill take LAL in 6.
